Before the audition
Confirm the project, the character age range, the language of the scene and whether you need a self-tape or an in-person meeting. Carry identification if the team asks for it, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
Read the scene once for meaning, then again for the rhythm of the lines. A calm introduction with your name and city is enough.
After you are seen
Most people are not selected. That is normal. Keep your photos current and your availability honest so the next suitable role is easier to judge.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need film experience for a Tamil film audition?
Not always. Some roles are written for new faces. Say so clearly instead of inventing credits.
Can I audition from outside Chennai?
Yes, when the team accepts a self-tape or when you can travel. Put your city and travel preference on your profile.
