Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This policy explains how the current TamilCasting public website approaches privacy and how future talent and production features are intended to handle personal information. TamilCasting will update this policy before any materially different account, profile or data-collection feature goes live.
1. Information the public website may process
When you visit TamilCasting, our hosting and security providers may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser/device information, request time, requested pages and security logs. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message.
2. Future account and profile information
When talent and production registration launches, TamilCasting may collect information needed to create accounts, build casting profiles, verify production users, provide support, protect safety and operate the service. Before those features launch, the registration screens and this policy will explain the information requested and why it is needed.
3. Privacy-first talent design
TamilCasting is designed so ordinary website visitors cannot browse an open directory of protected talent profiles. Production companies and casting professionals will be required to register and receive approval before protected talent information becomes accessible.
4. Contact information
Private contact information should not be returned to unauthorized users merely because a button or field is hidden in the interface. Access controls must be enforced by the backend and database permissions.
5. Photos and media
Future talent uploads should be processed to reduce unnecessary metadata exposure. TamilCasting intends to remove location and other embedded metadata from public or production-facing derivatives and to keep access to originals appropriately restricted.
6. Data minimisation
We intend to collect only information reasonably needed for casting profiles, production verification, safety, support, security and platform operation. Government identity documents should not be collected casually and are not part of the current public website.
7. Sharing with service providers
We may use infrastructure, hosting, email, security, storage and other service providers to operate TamilCasting. Providers should receive only the information required for their service and be subject to appropriate contractual and security controls.
8. Retention and deletion
Information should be retained only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose, legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute handling and legitimate platform operations. Future account features will include appropriate correction, deletion and account-closure processes, subject to lawful retention requirements.
9. Security
TamilCasting uses technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the service. No online service can promise absolute security, so access controls, monitoring, secure development and incident handling will be reviewed as the platform grows.
10. Adults only for V1
Adults aged 18 or older may manage their own talent registration. For anyone under 18, TamilCasting plans a parent/legal-guardian-managed child-artist flow. The minor must not independently create or control the account. Parent or guardian approval is mandatory, but actual entertainment work must also comply with applicable child-artist laws, education requirements, permits, safety measures and production responsibilities.
11. Your questions and requests
For privacy questions, corrections or other requests, email hello@tamilcasting.com. Please do not send highly sensitive documents unless TamilCasting specifically requests them through an approved secure process.
12. Policy changes
We may update this policy when the service changes, laws change or new features are introduced. Material changes should be reflected by updating the date shown on this page.
